This one-year course
covers the fundamentals of 2D Design and visual communications.
The main body of work produced is in 2D but students may explore
options and complete work in 3D. There is a strong emphasis on art
practise and portfolio preparation, focusing on the completion of
work to a standard required for entry to Art and Design Courses
in third level colleges.

Mature
students and people new to the area of Art and Design are particularly
welcome. A practical exercise will be included as part of the selection
/ interview process.
Samples of past work may be submitted at interview but a portfolio
of work is not a requirement.
