27. Interior Design Diploma

A two-year course concentrating on 3-Dimensional Design applied to the design of interior spaces. This intensive programme in Interior Design, integrates theory and skills. An advanced programme for students who wish to progress to design related degree programmes or obtain employment directly in Interior Design or related areas.

Features of the Course

- Optional study visit to an International Trade Fair.
- Explores a range of three-dimensional materials including wood, plaster, fabrics and textiles.
- Assessment based on practical applications including the design of domestic and commercial interiors.
- Students work on six major projects over two years.

- Regular workshops from practicing Interior Design specialists.
- Museums, galleries and historic buildings are within easy reach of the College.


Portfolio Requirement

- One piece of applied art or graphic design
- Two other portfolio pieces.
- Selection of portfolio pieces is at the discretion of the applicant.
- Portfolios must be limited to three pieces and presented at interview.

Progression

Graduates may apply for admission with exemptions to degree level courses in
Ireland and the U.K.
