Liberal Arts - Access to University FETAC Level 5 Liberal Arts Award ELAXX This one-year programme is an access course to Higher Education. The modules studied are suited to those who wish to progress to degree level courses in Arts and Social Sciences. There are no socio-economic entry criteria for this university access course. Duration 1 Year Full Time Entry Requirements Standard Student Entry Additional Requirement: Minimum 5 passes in the Leaving Certificate with a minimum of a higher grade ‘D’ in two subjects. Certification FETAC Level 5 Liberal Arts (NCVA Level 2) Certification Certificate of Achievement awarded by Trinity College Dublin Principal Areas of Study • English Literature • History • Social Studies • Political Studies • Statistics • Communication Skills • Personal and Professional Development • IT Skills • European Studies Feature of the Course • Students study eight modules and aim to achieve a minimum of five Distinctions and three Passes to compete for reserved course places in Higher Education. • One-to-one career guidance and mentoring.
