Social Care and Social Studies
FETAC Level 5 Community Care DCHCC
Social
care practitioners work professionally with people in a range of
settings to meet identified needs.
Client needs may reflect disability or a person’s time of
life, health status or social circumstances. Working in teams, in
institutions and in the community, practitioners support clients
personally and in family, educational and therapeutic settings.
Personal attributes of empathy, compassion and integrity are at
the heart of being a good social care practitioner. This course
offers academic and experiential training for people interested
