Admissions and General Information

A Personal Approach

Liberties College has over 780 full time students. We provide courses that make a real difference - building confidence and skills that will lay the foundation for your career. Personal growth is at the heart of vocational preparation - and with our small size we will get to know you and help you to develop your strengths.

Experiencing Quality

All our work experience programmes are relevant and structured. For advanced and specialist courses we are developing new links between college life and the world of work. Our aim is to offer courses that are practical and relevant to your future.

National Qualifications

Whenever possible Liberties College Courses are fully accredited by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC). FETAC has responsibility for making awards previously made by NCVA, FÁS, CERT/NTCB, Teagasc and BIM. To gain the National Vocational Certificate (Level 2) a candidate must accumulate eight approved module credits – this requires at least one year’s full-time study.
Other courses are accredited by Edexcel/BETEC which is a UK awarding body. To gain a Higher National Diploma students undertake sixteen units of work over two years and this requires two years of full-time study. Other advanced programmes in Liberties College are accredited by a broad range of national, international and professional bodies including:

Cisco CCNA CCNA Certification refers to Cisco Certified Network Associate
CACHE Council for Awards in Children’s Care and Education
Edexcel Edexcel was formed in 1996 by the merger of two well-respected bodies, BTEC (the Business Technology Education Council) and ULEAC ( the University of London Examinations and Awards Council)
