Purpose of the Course:
This course offers students the opportunity to learn the technical and creative aspects of painting. The assessment of learning will consist of preparing a portfolio for the QQI Level 5 Minor Award in Painting. This will require students to show their competence in a range of artistic skills as well as showing progression in terms of research and understanding of their creative ability.
Course Content:
5N1302 Painting
Topics include; Principles of colour, Application of colour in a range of Art, Craft & Design contexts, Communicate and express ideas through the medium of paint, Explore and experiment with a range of traditional and contemporary painting techniques and learn to critically evaluate own and others work.
Assessment will consist as follows; Portfolio/Collection of Work 100%

Entry Requirements:
▪ Applicants are requested to bring a minimum of five drawings/ paintings or creative pieces to the briefing.
Application and Enrolment:
Application is by enrolment. Enrolment will take place on the 2nd and 9th September 2020 from 6pm to 8pm in Liberties College. Payment is by cash or cheque made out to City of Dublin ETB. Applicants will be required to enrol and pay the full fee, prior to commencement of the course.
