Entry
This course is open to students who have achieved at least two Distinctions and Four Merits in a FETAC Level 5 Award in Childcare – or its equivalent (e.g. CACHE/NNEB, NCEA Childcare, City and Guilds Level 2).
Note: This requirement may be waived, at the discretion of the College, for mature students with prior experience, and/or academic suitability.

Features of the course
- Students acquire a good understanding of the Educational Method and Philosophy of Maria Montessori and become competent in the use of this method with children in the 2 1⁄2 - 6 age range.
- A selection of relevant workshops will be provided.
- Placement in Montessori schools three mornings each week with a one month block-placement.
