A course aimed at equipping students with the technical and production skills for employment in Media Industries. With a focus on practical programme making and job seeking skills, the course affords individuals the opportunity of developing pathways to direct employment and progression to degree studies.

Entry
Applicants should ordinarily have achieved one of the following:
- Leaving Certificate with a minimum of one C3 (Higher Level) and three passes.
- FETAC Award: A FETAC Level 5 Award. Candidates must have attained a minimum 12 points generated from 8 modules.Pass 1 point; Merit 2 Points; Distinction 3 points.
- Equivalent Award: Details of equivalence must be submitted at application.
- Experience: Mature applicants without any of the above are welcome. Applications will be assessed based on prior experience and learning.
- At interview, applicants will beasked to suggest an idea for a TV or Radio programme.
