  This is an established foundation course in Interior Design, offering a broad training relevant to employment in a large number of areas that require knowledge, awareness and skills in the design and furnishing of interior spaces.

Features of the course

  • Foundation studies develop the student’s ability to draw and creatively interpret an interior space.
  • Students develop a strong working knowledge of colour, pattern, texture, spatial relationships and materials.
  • Design work using 2D Autocad and SketchUp.
  • Study visits to period houses, exhibitions and manufacturing outlets around Ireland.
  • Two-week work experience placement in a commercial environment.
  • Specialist workshops and guest lecturers.
